• successes: retired army general impacting cmty for better lives; aclu woman; improving welfare of others;
• challenges: perfectionism, optimal, skill level, what am i best at or what's my calling or where can i make the most impact; what's out there?; meanginful work != lucrative work != available, scarcity in nonprofit work leaves want for safety; balance; story; new technologies, can't find solution; trade-offs, lack of change or freedom

Has anyone tried to make a cushy/well-paid job meaningful? or did meaningful things in the off-time?

• eg rocket mortgage lets you do meaningful work during paid time 1x/mo; hard to get 2 cakes, can take some time off to be fisherman/farmer/etc; people like it when they feel connected
