Facilitated by Scott Bechtler-Levin, IdeaEncore Network

Session Description

Scott will use case studies from www.IdeaEncore.com and other nonprofit marketplaces to spark discussion about how to accelerate the virtuous cycle of making more knowledge accessible, encouraging cross-organization re-use, and enabling crowd sourced innovation. In the process, this interactive forum will explore the interrelated concepts of crowd sourcing, game theory, Creative Commons licensing, share it forward (dogooderism), recognition, earned income, social return on investment, funder mandates and other systemic carrots/sticks. The goal is to use real-world examples and the expertise of the participants to design better systems (software and non-software).
