Relationships between technology consultants/developers and client nonprofit organizations are different that those in other fields. Nonprofits, who generally lack in-house software development expertise, are more dependent on and vulnerable to the practices of developers and consultants, while those service providers often share philosophical and issue and solidarity with their clients and treat it as “more than a job”.
