Facilitated by Adam Hyde, FLOSSManuals.net

The FLOSS Manuals platform has been used to document a number of open source tools, and increasingly content for these books is generated at “book sprints” where participants convene in a central location to kick out content for one or more documentation volumes. This session will offer an introduction to FLOSS Manuals' successful series of Book Sprints. This session will look at the 2 case studies: The Inkscape and One Laptop per Child / Sugar Book Sprints. Adam will examine the idea of sprints, and look at what can be achieved, how to organize one, and what tools are available to maximize productivity.
