Session Description

It seems like municipal data owners are throwing data sets over the virtual fence without really understanding what developers need and how they use the data. Conversely, the developer community has little idea what the data release process looks like (who the decision-makers are, where the decision points are, how the data is curated, etc.) and needs to understand what the challenges are and how to help/move things along. This session will consider whether there is a need to develop a data dictionary, and how to encourage the release of more usable data sets - leading to lower barriers for app development for the public good?
