Direct Leap Technologies Agile Project Manager / Account Manager
If you are an Agile project manager, this is a chance to take a ground-floor role in building a contract engineering company, serving both high-growth technology startups and progressive non-profits.
We engineer software products and deploy telecom networks, often at the cutting edge of open-source tools. Our projects have included software development for voice applications, deploying high-availability long distance networks, and some hardware design. We also provide a suite of technology tools designed for progressive non-profit organizations.
Your job will be to oversee and successfully complete multiple simultaneous cutting-edge contract engineering projects. You will be responsible for delivering on the customer's expectations and strengthening an ongoing relationship with each customer. You will be responsible for the overall successful delivery and margins for each project.
We use SCRUM, an Agile software development methodology. Applicants must be positive, focused on business goals, experienced managing key customer relationships, and must be organized and detail-oriented to consistently execute on projects.
We are a small and growing organization, and there is an opportunity to develop new skills and learn new roles. You will work directly with the founder, and with a combination of contractors and a dedicated lead developer for each project. We are looking for a bit of a generalist, and other operations experience with managing suppliers and outsourcing is an asset. Experience with pre-sales and with sales presentations would also be an asset.
The position is contract in downtown Toronto, and salary is negotiable based on experience. Meaningful stock ownership is available as part of the compensation package. The position is part-time with an opportunity to grow into a full-time role.

NPower Seattle Database Consultant
NPower Seattle offers a suite of technology services to nonprofits in the Seattle area. The NPower Database Consultant assists our nonprofit clients with the selection, implementation and maintenance of the databases they use to guide program development and manage relationships with clients, constituents, and funders.
The position requires a broad background in database software and the ability to explain the benefits and limitations of software effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Sensitivity toward the mission of nonprofits is essential, and experience with nonprofit operations is preferred. Experience with Salesforce.com or MySQL/PHP a plus.
